Geoswell Consulting (Pty) Ltd is a geological company that renders geological and mining consulting services to the mining industry.

Geoswell is a South African company, with its head office situated in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Geoswell consulting was founded in 2018, previously trading as Shuma Consulting. From 2007, the company addressed a broad spectrum of geoscientific services from mining industries and governmental departments in South Africa and internationally. It is comprised by well-trained competent geologist and geotechnical engineers with extensive consulting experience gained in coal, kimberlite and gold. The company strives hard to provide and maintain solution driven technical support to all prospective clients.

The experience of Geoswell’s consultants extend over a wide array of fields within the geological and mining industries. On the geological side this includes target generation, prospecting permit applications, exploration management, diamond drilling core logging, core sampling, underground and surface mapping, channel sampling, geological databases, geological resource and ore body modelling, project management and grade control. On the mining side our services include mine design and scheduling services.

Geoswell also has considerable expertise in implementing conceptual studies, pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, due diligence studies, review and auditing of geological and mining models, review and auditing of geological databases, geological and mining report writing and competent person’s reports (SAMREC, JORC and CANADIAN NI43-101) in both the geological and mining spheres.

With our vast experience and knowledge, we can add significant value to exploration, project approvals, execution phases and operations.

About Us

OUR TEAM

Geoswell (Pty) Ltd is a privately owned South African company which was founded in 2018. Geoswell is directed by its owner Bongani Msweli who is an active geological consultant.

The company has strategic links to specialist associates and partners who add expertise to the fields of geological modelling, exploration management, database management, mine design, mineral rights, survey and down hole geophysical logging. Lastly, we also make use of contractors for support services such as financials, accounting, data capturing and specialist drafting services. Our current personnel complement is as follows:

She is an environmental management and geo-informatics specialist. Her experience varies from waste management, environmental management and environmental impact assessment, natural resource management, climate change and agriculture. She is currently a GIS manage at Black dot property consultants.

Mrs. Motlhoki Nono Monicca

Advisory

- BSc Geology hons(UJ)

A geologist responsible for fieldwork. She worked in the exploration industry as a project geologist and environmental geologist at Genap consulting. She has vast knowledge on the Karoo basin. Her primary duties are to conduct general fieldwork, geotechnical and environmental investigation. She is currently working as a Site manager at Zaiman drilling.

Mr. Maphisa Mduduzi

He is a project geologist with more than 11 years’ experience. He has vast experience on base metals and Karoo basin geology. He worked for CCIC, Minero Zinc and Delta mining, Coal of Africa and Mbuyelo coal.

Mr. Phathutshedzo Mukwevho

BSc Geology MSc (UJ)

He is an environmental specialist with more than 6 years’ experience. His fields of expertise are Environmental Impact Assessments, Ecological Assessments studies, Environmental Risk assesments and management ISO4001 auditing and training. He has been involved in many environmental related projects in various countries including Bostwana, DRC, Namibia, Swaziland and Lesotho. His experience spreads across various sectors such as mining, power generation, oil and gas, water services and freight.
